Greenwood Trails is an ACA Accredited Resident and Day summer camp in Winsted, CT, offering co-ed programs from performing arts to high-ropes for children ages 5-16. For a great summer camp in Connecticut or a place for your special fall or spring get-together

In our summer camps we create happiness and a love of the outdoors for girls and boys. Resident Camp for ages 8 – 16 and Day camp for ages 5-12 features a variety of programs including horseback riding, swimming, boating, theater arts, mini-farm, pottery, cooking, hiking, tennis, basketball, soccer, fishing, table tennis, arts and crafts, tutoring, archery, wood shop, low and high ropes course, climbing walls and more. We provide opportunities for building self-esteem, having fun, enhancing leadership skills, teambuilding, learning conflict resolution techniques and making friends!

Campers and staff from throughout the US and over 35 countries have attended our camp. This international flair is an added dimension for fun for our campers. Our caring, professional staff provides two, four, and six week sessions for fun and learning in a noncompetitive environment.

We specialize in first-time campers.

Following our summer camp, Greenwood Trails transforms into the Grizzly Wrestling Camp, where wrestlers from throughout New England and the country meet for four days of skills training with Coach Pat Burns and the world famous Gene Mills. Click here for info Grizzly Wrestling Camp.

And for all other times from April 1st through late October, the center is available for groups, weddings, reunions, our popular womens and mens weekends in September, birthdays, school and church groups, adventure groups, nearly any venue. For info, click on Rent the Center.
